We are always looking for ways to improve the tools we provide to our customers, including our reporting tool. Understandably, school leaders are eager to see your survey results as quickly as possible.
While our data analysis team does a great job of getting reports into the hands of our clients in a very timely manner (typically in two to three weeks!), school and districts leaders can learn a lot in the meantime by reviewing raw data in the School Perceptions online client dashboard.
As your survey draws to a close, our team will set up access, making the data instantly available to your school or district's designated custodian of records. At that point, this person can view and disaggregate the data to analyze it in closer detail, create graphs, track student progress, and share the data with the broader leadership team.
Here’s a little preview into what’s possible in the School Perceptions client dashboard:
Disaggregate the raw data
Our system allows you to break down your data by any subgroup or question.
Some examples of common disaggregations include grade level, school building, or municipality of community members, to name a few. To protect respondents’ privacy, our system will not allow any disaggregation attempt below an “n” value of five. To get an idea of how this works, click this link.
Share data access with administration team
You (or we) can set up other admin team members to view the data throughout the entire district or at a specific building(s). You’re also able to limit access to quantitative data, or you can allow permission to view survey comments too.
Create graphs
This feature lets you choose line, bar, or pie graphs for your data. You can view the data at the district level or disaggregate the data and create graphs for relevant subgroups. You can customize each question to contemplate the type of chart that works best for you.
Track progress
You can view and generate a participation report for student surveys in the portal. This helps you know which students to follow up with to get the best response rate possible.
Our goal is to help you get the best use of your data, and our client dashboard is constantly evolving to help us meet that goal.
As always, we are available by email or phone to support you if you have any questions along the way.
